Types of Acne Scar Treatments and cures

Types of acne scars:

Depressed fibrotic acne scar: opposite of atrophic macules acne scar, depressed fibrotic acne scar is consisting of much harder base and is larger in size than atrophic macules acne scar. It can occur at any part of the body and is mainly of U shape with sharp edges.

Ice-pick acne scars: this type of acne scar can be hard or soft, however ice-pick acne scar mainly occur after facial acne has cured. One can say ice-pick acne scar only mostly occurs around cheek area and is shallow in nature, however instead of having soft edges, ice-pick acne scar may occur with pointed and jagged edges.

Follicular macular atrophy acne scar: dually named as Perifollicular elastolysis, follicular macular atrophy acne scar is the most crucial type of acne scar, which can occur at any part of the body especially the chances of occurrence of follicular macular atrophy scar on chest, back, arms area is higher. It may further accompany with bumps on the skin while remaining whitish in color.
